Pediatric Eye Care

Support your child’s highest potential.

Regular eye exams are an important part of a child’s overall health and academic success. Vision problems can affect learning, reading, sports performance, and everyday activities, often without obvious symptoms.

At Hester Eye Associates, we see children ages 5 and older. To ensure the most accurate exam results, children should be familiar with the alphabet and able to identify letters on a vision chart.

Signs your child may benefit from an eye exam include:

  • Squinting or frequent eye rubbing
  • Holding books or screens very close
  • Complaints of headaches or eye strain
  • Difficulty seeing the board at school
  • Trouble focusing on reading or homework
  • Excessive sensitivity to light

If you have questions about scheduling an appointment for your child, please contact our office. Our team will be happy to answer any questions and help determine whether your child is ready for an eye exam.
