Dr. Mark R. Hester – Optometrist
Dr. Hester invites you to visit Hester Eye Associates and experience his dream. In May 2002, he established Hester Eye Associates, prior to being in a group optometric practice for 6 years. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Optometry School.
Dr. Hester is an active member of the American and Georgia Optometric Associations. He is also active in the Rotary Club of North Cobb.
Dr. Hester’s activities include being active at North Star Church and has participated in many Mission trips with his church.
Dr. Hester is native to Kennesaw. Dr. Hester enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with his beloved dog Sadie.
Dr. Michael Do – Optometrist
Dr. Michael Do is a key member of our team of dedicated optometrists. With years of experience and a genuine passion for eye health, Dr. Do provides comprehensive eye exams using the latest diagnostic technology. He specializes in detecting and managing various eye conditions, ensuring optimal vision and ocular wellness for every patient. Driven by a patient-centric approach, Dr Do takes the time to listen, educate, and address individual concerns. Trust him to deliver exceptional care and personalized treatment plans tailored to your specific needs.
Sadie – Good Will Ambassador
As one of our recent hires, Sadie enjoys greeting all customers with a happy face and great attitude! Sadie’s goals include ensuring everyone that enters and leaves our office has the best possible experience from their eye exam, picking out new glasses or contacts, and having a friendly exchange with all staff members.
Sadie’s proudest moments are seeing the smiling faces of our clients while they spend their time in our office. She is grateful to everyone that has chosen us to help them achieve their best vision needs.
When Sadie is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her two and four legged friends, playing with her favorite toys and naps that include dreams of chasing squirrels and lots of treats.

Katie
Katie started with us in late 2025 but has been in the industry for 3 years. Katie’s roles include assisting our patients with a variety of important tasks, which include: verifying and interpreting prescriptions, lens and frame adjustments, and selecting eyewear. Katie enjoys hands on lens edging and knowing the work she does has such a positive impact on our patient’s ability to have improved vision. Katie is currently working towards her American Board of Ophthalmology and National Contact Lens Examiners certifications and generally developing her skills to best help our patients. When Katie is not working, she loves to perform as a DJ in Atlanta. Her work as a DJ is helping her reach her goal of making her own music.
Robin
Robin has been working with us since 2021. Her responsibilities include vision insurance, medical insurance, and billing. She enjoys her interactions with our patients and helping with their needs. She feels proud about saving lives while previously working in the hospital system. Robin hopes to write additional novels. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, landscaping, DIY projects, Human and Animal Rights.
Kyra
Kyra started in the optical industry in 2023. As a technician, her responsibilities include pretesting, specialty testing, data entry, and recording patient history. Kyra’s proudest professional accomplishment was when a four year old patient came into the clinic and was able to see for the first time wearing their new glasses! Kyra enjoys helping our patient’s needs. Kyra is working towards becoming licensed and certified optometric technician. While not working, Kyra enjoys being creative with her artwork.
Debbie
Debbie began in the optical field in July 2021. Debbie’s responsibilities include greeting our patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying vision insurance and assisting with contact lens orders. After a career break to raise four sons, Debbie adapted to new updated office software programs. She enjoys making a difference in patient’s lives, a supportive team environment and learning a variety of new tasks. Debbie strives to become more proficient in the different types of contact lenses, and new contact lens materials. When she is not working, Debbie helps shelter dogs in need, as she recently adopted a shelter pet in need. She volunteers at animal shelters, donates supplies and helps with their events. Debbie is also an avid bowler and can be found on the lanes perfecting her game with her weekly bowling league.
Ellen
Ellen started with Hester Eye Associates in December of 2025. Though she is new to the optical field, Ellen has over 25 years of customer service experience. Ellen’s new responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering calls, greeting patients, and verifying vision insurance. Ellen enjoys meeting patients and going the extra mile to ensure they have a positive and enjoyable experience. She hopes to learn more about both routine and specialty optical procedures. When she is not working, Ellen enjoys cooking, crafts and spending time with her husband and four footed family members.
